Chrome hood striker and upper radiator brackets?

Does anyone know of a supplier for a chrome hood striker and a chrome upper radiator bracket for these trucks? I have the '66 in my avatar and my son has a 65' LWB that are in dire need of these! If anyone knows who sells these, I'd really appreciate some info. I have searched around and came up empty so far.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Chrome hood striker and upper radiator brackets?

Probably be easier to take the parts to a chrome plater. I dont know of any venders selliing them already plated.

Not aware of anyone plating these parts and offering them commercially. I typically prep these parts and have them plated by the metal finisher/plater that I partner.

Re: Chrome hood striker and upper radiator brackets?

I bought mine off Ebay. They were advertised as driver quality, and they weren't kidding. The upper latch looked so sloppy and worn out I never used it. The striker plate looks fine from 5 feet away, so it's on the truck. I'm also not aware of anyone that sells new chromed latches.

Re: Chrome hood striker and upper radiator brackets?

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. There is no one close to me that I know of that does chrome plating. I guess I'll have to do some more searching.
Thanks anyways, guys!

Re: Chrome hood striker and upper radiator brackets?

Why not just mail them to somebody in state?

X2...if you have trouble finding a resource, I'm sure there are several members on this forum (who you can contact), including me, that have batches of chrome work done periodically. I usually end up taking batches about once every couple of months. In my case, the more parts in the batch, the less cost per part...the one caveat is that the parts don't require the large baths/tanks, such as bumpers or other various parts that are more than 48 inches long.

Re: Chrome hood striker and upper radiator brackets?

LMC has the upper support braces in chrome for sure, not sure on the hood striker though.

That's probably what I'll end up doing. I've had no luck finding someone local that does plating and was hoping to find the parts already plated. I guess it's not like the pieces I'm wanting plated will cost a lot to ship or anything.
Thanks again for the input guys!

Yeah, I have found a few vendors that carry those.
Thanks for the reply!
