Question 2000 Blazer console install

I bought a 2000 s-10 blazer console with the auto matic gear shifter in it. I'm going to install it in my 71 truck. Right now I have a B&M shifter but I only have drive and 3rd gear because it not for a 700-R4 transmission.

I have figured out that I need to either disconnect the brake solenoid are wire it to where the hot wire will activate it so it will come out of park when I crank the truck. I just need some help with what wires do what.
Does anyone have any idea's are schematic's for it?

It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

What kind of B&M shifter do you have? I thought most aftermarket shifters were capable of shifting a 700r4.

AH, Ok that makes since then. you could use it in a pinch but wouldn't be able to pull it all the way down into low gear.

The link posted worked for me, but just in case, you can go to S10forum.com the thread is called if you need wiring diagrams. possibly do a search for it.

Re: 2000 Blazer console install

Ok,
my foot is better and I can at least walk around now.

I hooked a 12 volt battery up to the wires on the shifter.

Black wires (4) of them are grounds for everything.

Light green/black wire activates the park solenoid to take it out of park.

Blue is R/T switch. Which will be my 700-R4 Trans convertor switch now and do away with toggle switch under the dash.

Grey is indicator lights.

I need to figure out what the
Pink, yellow, and dark green/black wires are for.
I hooked them up to power and got nothing out of them.
If I hook the DG/Black wire up with the LG/black wire it kills the solenoid.

The others made no differance to anything I could see. I really don't need them but would like to know what they do.
I'm going to use a small micro switch to activate the back up lights like on the B&M shifter I have now.

Wink Re: 2000 Blazer console install

OK console is in and working. I used the B&M shifter cable for right now though didn't get the cable when I got the console. Will pick one up Monday I hope. With the B&M cable the gears are off because the hard mount for the cable is shorter than a stock cable.

Green/Black wire is hot for the brake solenoid power so it's hooked up to a ignition switched power with a anti theft switch hidden in line. Gear shifter lights work in all positions. I have to find a On/Off switch to fit the Tow/hauling switch that is a momentary switch, it's square behind the shifter. This is going to be my torque converter switch when done. I have a toggle switch as of now on the dash. If anyone knows of such switch please LMK. I want a factory switch to fit the opening if possible.
