BBC front springs for a SBC 87 R10, how bad is the ride quality???

I have seen a lot of references to the 6454 BBC springs and using those to lift the front level on our trucks with a SBC. I have a 2wd and i am thinking of doing this to get a little extra height. Only concern is how rough the ride will be once i do. I am currently running a 31" tire and would like to squeeze out about 2 more inches of lift if possible.

Anybody have experience with these springs and maybe some comments on the ride quality? Thanks!

got them on mine - a little stiff but not too bad... comparing them to the 33 year old originals too... see pics in link in my signature

I was planning on running them on my lowered '74 (cut down, of course), for the handling benefits.

Awesome! Gigem, are you running the stock rear leafs as well or did you swap those out? The height of your truck looks perfect for what i am after

Stock rear leaf springs with the extra "heavy duty" helper spring removed...
