Re: Big Red Dog

This truck I'm looking at is a 98 shortbed, ext cab, 2wd 5 speed cummins with 270k. Gonna try to get it for around 2500 but he said he would take 3k. Guess we will see...

Re: Big Red Dog

Troy, you said you would need bumpers or stops when you got ready to hang the doors for transport.

Are you referring to the round plug-like stops or the around-the-rim door weatherstrip? Have you ordered/received them yet?

I ask because I am ordering some rubber stuff and wondered what to/not to order.

Where did you get your rubber from,LMC? If so/not were you OK with what you did order, ie did installation go OK?

Re: Big Red Dog

I've got the door bumpers (round plugs) picked them up with inner fenders. My door seals were from lmc. I would recommend when you put the seals on set them in the sun first... They are tight!

Re: Big Red Dog

Yeah, well I did lend my idea of using 2 engine stands with a little modification to make a rotiserie.

For me it would have been necessary even for a one-off. Having to sand overhead would have put me down for a week. Working on the floor likewise. But there was a time....

Looking good and getting close. See ya Thursday.

Re: Big Red Dog

Sounds good Dave. Hopefully I'll have at least one door repaired if the parts come in today or tomorrow.
