yeah ok flips, you're probably right... not really a sketch in the truest form of the style but it is just an idea and still not right. fonts are too modern, too busy for the style that might have been done in the 60's and 70's. but its a start and i'll post up more comps as i get them done.

as far as the vette, be patient my friend. more pics when it rolls into the bodyshop. promise...

Re: tilly to the rescue

got some stuff closer this month... like the radio panel replaced and the right side door pillar replaced.

had another cab show up for some repair and etch priming... wish i could find a cab this nice. it was soda blasted and has very few spots that need attention. mostly surface rust since it was blasted and garaged 7 years ago.

Re: tilly to the rescue

the right rear corner needed to be replaced. no way to fix the crummy job that was done before. so it was cut off, fitted, braced and spotted in. should be able to finish up the welding this week and hopefully get the rocker on. that will be huge and as far as i can tell, thats all the major work on the cab...

Re: tilly to the rescue

one last thing to report this month... found a couple of parts trucks in my favorite salvage yard. one is a 66 lwb bbw custom with most of the original parts and a 65 gmc swb bbw x-hotrod truck. both have seen to much of the great outdoors and show rust in all the usual places... but hey, parts is parts. will post pics of the 2 trucks when i get them. also stumbled on a mid-70s 454 LS6 with low miles and a super t-10 to go with it, starting to think about a bigblock truck....hmmm
pics are the hood and grill from the salvage yard that i got for the utility truck and the new LS6
