I caught this thread a little late , but I am Mustanger from way back and have one now. But if you still have parts needs and can not find what you want , PM me.
There are several Parts suppliers for stangs but one of the best Is Glaser/ Noland . Not only do they have the parts but they restore them too , so they can generally get you what ever you can't find else where.
Great job so far , keep up the good work.
One other thing , I belong to probably the best Stang forum out there , here's there web add www.vintage-mustang.com . There are many of these guys that do the concourse deal and if anyone knows where to find parts , they do.

Air shocks removed.
New rear shocks installed.
New wheel studs, bearings and rotor installed.

Shouldn't there be a spring from the clutch fork to the z bar? My parts supplier doesn't show one for a 65, but does show one for a 66. He sent one for the 66 for me to try, but it doesn't look right. I haven't opened the package to try it yet. I will do that and get some pics.

Replaced the rear bumper. the old one was bent in the middle and of coarse in bad shape. The brackets didn't look bent and the rear body looked good where the bumper bolts. I don't know if the alignment is in the aftermarket bumper, brackets or rear body. Maybe a shim will work if the brackets are good.

Also replaced the front bumper.

The rear brakes are done.

The brake pedal has too much travel before the rod engauges the MC. I was told this Scott Drake piece (top rod and bracket in pic) would work. It looks like it won't help and might create more problems, because the bracket is suppose to realign the rod arc. I found one review that wasn't good and I see why now that I have tried to install.

I found this rod for a 67-69 mustang. It looks the same and adds 1/4 to what I already have. I believe thats about what I need to get the pedal up to where it should be with no play.

Alan ,this Mustang wasnt from Canton area was it ,I worked with a guy several years ago that had 2 fastback Mustangs stored in his basement side by side ,one his and the other his wife's and had been in the same spot for years .Both were 289/4 speed cars .

No sir, it was stored in Ball Ground in a barn for 25 years.

I have the same issue with my rear bumper (not sure if factory or aftermarket) but it is aligned well on the passenger side and square with the body, but the drivers side looks like this cars. I've never owned a mustang before, and I haven't looked at what's involved with the adjustments yet.

Me neither. It will stay this way for a while. He just wants to drive it for a while then tackle the body. His grandpa use to push the car with a tractor back in the day. Why I don't know.

This project is getting close to coming to an end. It is moving under it's own power. Backed it out and gave it it's first bath in 20+ years. Waiting to get a tag so I can test drive it.
