67 CST Speedo alarm?

I have a 67 CST and on the speedometer there is a white needle you can adjust with a dial in the upper left corner. When the speedometer needle reaches the white needle at the speed you set it at a buzzer goes off. Have any of you guys seen this?

Yes it is a speedwarning set up. They were an option from 67-69. They are not super rare, but unique enough to be desirable. The fact that your buzzer still works is very rare however, lol. Here is a pic of mine. Welcome to the board!

I have the 71 dash on the shelf now and it has the speed warning buzzer and it works. I traded a fellow for it out of his truck because he said it was bad. He didn't have the buzzer are wiring for it so I used a seat buzzer.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I might be selling that truck so I can finish my 67 small window that I am working on now. To many projects going on at once so if I sell the truck I will be pulling the speedo and buddy buckets out .

Re: 67 CST Speedo alarm?

I had one in my '69. back then you could get all the parts from the dealer.
I let it go in 2003. Regretted it (the '69) ever since.

Re: 67 CST Speedo alarm?

Is it possible to have to many projects??? You just gotta prioritize and finish one first then start the next one. Our camaro got put under a car cover until my truck is finished. Then we will go all out on that one.
