Disc brake conversion

My friend has a front disc brake conversion for his '65 truck that he never used. Will this work on my '70 truck? Both are 2wd. Thanks for any info.

Re: Disc brake conversion

What conversion is it?
If it has 63-70 conversion spindles in it,... it will be a bolt on.
Some conversions kits like CPP sells,... make you switch to 73-87 ball joints and tie rods,... because they use 73-87 spindles.

I'm not sure which conversion it is but I was going to get some drop spindles and not use the stock ones in his kit.

Re: Disc brake conversion

Forget the kit.
Just buy some 63-70 conversion drop spindles.
71-87 HD rotors calipers and bearings.
71-72 M/C and prop valve.
