Re: Power steering

I have a beautiful one from a 67 GMC . My friend took it completely apart and nothing lines up except the hose bracket on the steering box. I would have bet everything was the same but nothing works.

Re: Power steering

It is off a 292 . Year of truck is 64-66 3/4 ton. I have the pump and brackets off . I do not have the cross cylinder and linkage off yet. We are hovering around 0 degrees temp so may be a day or so before I get it all off. Thanks

Zero degrees?! Yikes! I'd be afraid just to go outside, let alone wrench on anything ... then again, I'm feeling frozen out here with temps presently in the 50's. Ha! California pantywaist!
Have you got all related parts, including alternator and crank pullies?
Thanks

Re: Power steering

I think so except in the midst of taking it off , bringing it to my shop, the lid came off the pump. I am still looking for it and hoping in the back of my truck. I do not have off the cross cylinder yet and hope for the weather to warm up just a little. Thanks
