Re: Fire & Rescue Picture Thread
I always wanted to set up a mountain rescue rig,but a li'l brush fire wagon would be cool and right handy out in the boondocks

I think that's great you're one of the guys who went with one of these trucks. That trumps it being a newer truck. Heck, they're all cool.

Re: Fire & Rescue Picture Thread
Thanks for the kind words "K"
Here's a muddy old photo (sneak another couple in) of my "B" shift crew, Check out our American La France Engine, had a Detroit Triple Nickle, was Fast, but wouldn't stop for a block. Me and my Grandpa Levi, he was Chief of their Volunteer Dept. in Illinois. Might have worked for Your "Brush Truck". That was a New Fire Engine to them back in 1956 LOL Have a Great Christmas! - Lee

Here's a pic of my 71 SWB C10. It spent many years as a volunteer fire truck in NM.

Re: Fire & Rescue Picture Thread
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!! That thing is amazing! I never head of a K20 Panel. All panels I´ve ever seen were 2WD. So a 4WD panel is awesome, but a 3/4 ton one with manual.. that is even cooler than the K20 truck version! I bet they never made a lot of those!
Damn, now I want that truck!

Re: Fire & Rescue Picture Thread
My 72 actually used to look like the 7th picture, the Egypt truck. Only real difference was my winch bumper used the factory 72 bumper with additions to it. It also had a full cage around it. If I can find a pic I will post it up. Mine was an active duty brush truck up until 3 years ago in Petersburg VA. The clutch and brake pedals are still bent apart to make it easier to drive in those big old boots! I had to cut the cage off it to repair sheet metal so I repainted her blue. Ironicaly the truck was originally blue with a white top. I guess she went full circle. I did save the original doors with the FD logos along with the light bar.
