Re: Finally... 72 4x4 finished

Very nice 4x4. Love the color! My uncle has my grandfather's 71 GMC 4x4 short bed 4x4 that is med olive with a white top also. I'm trying to talk him out of it in a bad kind of way! It hasn't been moved out of his yard in probably 5-6 yrs so it is need of some tlc but it would be worth it since seeing your truck. Thanks for the motivation!

Re: Finally... 72 4x4 finished

That is a crazy story. One great thing about these trucks is that every one of them has a story to go along with it. There is nothing like stumbling upon a vehicle that you loved from childhood or growing up, etc. and to actually strike a deal and end up owning the truck is rare to say the least. This particular story has seen its rough patches, but in the end you did a beautiful job restoring it (of course I'm partial to SWB 4x4s!) Drive it with pride!

Beautiful story and truck! Well, when I finally got the tears out of my eyes, I could see the pictures anyhow. Darn this board sure can may you think some times. I'm putting together a 69 swb 4x4 also myself. I hope mine turns out half as nice as yours.
