Can I please see some pics of 67-72 trucks dropped with just coils
2 in front 4 out back. How is the ride quality? The search did not show any posts

I dropped my front end 3" and the back 4", I will take pics tomorrow in the daylight and post them here. I would strongly suggest that you go with shortened shocks on both front and rear otherwise you take a chance on the front coils not staying seated properly. The ride is not bad at all, just remember that when you go over bumps or potholes that you will really feel them more now than you did before. I still pull a trailer with my truck and do not have any problems doing it.

I also did the drop on mine with 3" and 4" coils. Shorter shocks are a must. The po didn't use them and broke the left front shock mount on the frame from it bottoming out. I went with Doetsch Tech Nitro Slammers. They seem to be decent shocks and priced fairly at around $40.00 each. Truck is still in the construction faze so sorry, no pics.

Have you had any problems with tire wear or alignment, using only springs?

After you put them in, you HAVE to have an alignment done. The new springs will throw it off. If you don't have it realigned, then you are going to have tire wear problems. If it's aligned properly, you will be fine.

2 inches is about as far as you should go in the front with only springs. Otherwise you can run into bumpsteer problems. If you want lower in the front, you should go with spindles and shocks. really short shocks lay the steering arms out so they are parallel with the a-arm. This makes you steer whenever you hit a bump. Some trucks are more affected by it than others. It also depends on the condition of your other front end parts.
