1950 5700 COE Build
I have been a forum member for a spell but just purchased a 1950 COE so this will be the beginning of my posting over here. I am not set on a specific plan as of yet, but I am anxious to get started.

Re: 1950 5700 COE Build
Looks like a good one to start with. If your future plan doesn't include that front bumper, I'm in need of one. Take a pick at my build for a few ideas.

Initial thoughts are lowered 3 to 4 inches. Modern dually rear axle with disk brakes, adaptors to run 22.5 bud wheels. IFS from a 80s era Chevy 1 ton so I can run disk brakes and the same wheel adaptors. I know there are disk brake kits for straight axles but not sure if there are any for the bigger trucks that would allow lowering and 8/10 bolt patterns I would like to keep the engine in the factory engine bay, but that limits what I can run. I am not sure how easily a V8 will fit. Not sure how a Cummins will fit. I am trying to avoid having a huge doghouse in the cab. I would also like to run an automatic. I am certainly open to suggestions, ideas, and experience.
