Tags up to date. Not to mention the labor and fixing all lights, switches getting road worthy. That is not fixing any rust or paint. Just my opinion and experience lately.
I think that $4,500 ought to be a VERY nice truck. I can come up with nice project SWB/fleet trucks for (asking price) $2,500-3,000 without any trouble at all where I'm at. There was a deal on a '66 for $6,500 a few weeks back; BBW/custom cab SWB fleet, original PG trans, 327 installed a couple years after the truck was new, etc. It had been in a barn for decades and had super low miles and appeared to have ZERO rust. That one went quick, but I think it kind of proves my point.

$3,500-5,000 for "V8 motor" and auto trans? You do realize this is a tired 283/TH350 combo, right? I don't know who you're buying from, but I can get you a mountain of those in your yard as tall as you want for a small fraction of that!

BTW, you listed "windshields"; did you not notice this one is broken? That was one of the things I noted.

Actually, wait. You guys are right; that truck is a bargain @ $5,300. He wised up and priced it @ $7,000 though, so I guess I'll have to sell you one out of the goodness of my heart...

2500 may not be too bad, but depends on what it needs, what you plan on doing with it, and how much work you are willing to put into it.

Nothing too wild, 5/7 drop, bed wood, steelies and white walls, clean up the interior a little, prolly won't do much to the exterior for now...

Personally I would factor in a front disc brake package as part of your drop. Nothing sucks more than 3,000 lbs of "get outa the way -- no brakes!!!"

I'm starting to think you actually are blind; I was the one who made both of those statements.

"What's this 65 SWB worth?" Is the name of this thread; I assumed that meant he was asking for an opinion on what the truck is worth.

Let me explain it one more time real slow; big back window trucks are worth more than small back window trucks. You came in here like I personally insulted you and proclaimed you hate BBW trucks, which was just stupid. Did you notice I said I have multiple small window trucks? When you are discussing what a truck is worth, the small window makes it worth less; doesn't matter if you like them or not.

Impala Jim, I was really confused there for a minute, but if you read through the thread, 66 Sub and I were just trying to put a value on the truck, which the original post sorta asked for. The point that 66sub made was that a big back window brings more money, which everyone on here would agree because it's a more rare option. Neither one of us said we didn't like a small window. My truck is a small window and 66 sub said he owns at least one himself. Anyway my point was if you like a particular style or option, some may like it, some may not, that's what makes this whole forum great. I've never seen 2 trucks alike on here and i like em all.
