Either way, kudos to you for trying something different, I really like 3/4 and 1 ton crew cabs with a short box. I'll be watching.

Re: 1986 gmc crew cab 2500

Now that the snow is here and the truck is off the road for the winter started removing air pumps and smog stuff from the engine. Ordered a new set of headers too. Like to have more engine but at least it runs good.

Re: 1986 gmc crew cab 2500

Well istalled headdmen headers, I really like them exept for 2 things, had to trim frame on pass side and the #5 sparkplug is a bear to get in and out. Istalled valve covers and air cleaner, still need to degrease engine when warmer. Replaced trans gasket and filter, found some metal in pan, trans worked good hope it will last. Installed new fuel pump (new one has no return line). Replaced rear axle pinion seal (still need to clean off axle when it gets warmer). Made exhaust from old exhaust (may replace at later date at least not loud for now). Just trying to fix all leaks get it ready for spring, also need to install fuel tank, blazer or fuel cell have not made up my mind yet.

I really like the way you shortened it. It reminds me of the newer crew-cabs.
