Rear fender bolt size? 47-53

What is the size of the bolts that hold the rear fenders to the bedsides?
Thank you for your help.

Marc

5/16 x 3/4 if you use bolts or machine screws with a screw head from the hardware store.

I'd suggest buying a set of the right bolts from one of the truck parts suppliers though as the others never look quite right to me and I have run the wrong ones with slotted screw heads for close to 30 years.

Re: Rear fender bolt size? 47-53

youngrodder, sorry to get all European and metric, but I drilled out my fender holes to 10mm and used 10x25mm Button head stainless bolts with stainless nyloc nuts and washers.
I've polished them up(real easy with a sisal buff and white rouge)

Seeing as you're obviously going down the custom route, you should be able to get something similar in the U.S.A. but in more familiar UNF sizes.

I have been able to find stainless button head bolts in the local hardware stores "Hillman" selection that might look good polished up...

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I will post some pics of my idea once my specialty washers come in.

Those Stainless Buttonhead screws do look good when you put them in places where they show.

Marc
what hardware did you end up using on your rear fenders? As mine sits in mock-up I'm just using a few standard 5/16" bolts and fender washers
