Neil, I just checked my tire to rear wheel well clearence and I have 2 inches of space between.

Funny you mention the white roof, I picked up the trim to go across the back of the cab so I can paint the roof white. I lowered the truck approximately 4" front and 5" rear. I cut 1.5 coils off the front OE springs and I used a pair of Chevelle spec lowering springs for the rear.

Mines got a 3/5 spring drop.

Thinking I mat run 235/70/15 fronts and 275/60/15 rears.
