That would be ignorant, now wouldn't it? Why do that when you can list them here for sale directly to 67-72 GM Truck fanatics for what you would spend on gas to go to the scrap yard and back?

it will be the best money you spend , to be able to list your parts, far cheaper than any auction sight and the people/brotherhood on here do more word of mouth advertising helping find this or that to a hobbie that dates back to the start of the automobile , sorry to take up you time but you wont be helping yourself out by taking your item to scrap when people on hear will give you more than your pennies on the dollar , you will make your 15 back on your first 2 sells , help yourself out and possible some one here on the board good luck kevin

Re: how to sell 67-72 parts

I know where you're at in Northern CA. Lots of elbow room for sure. Can't wait to see your stuff. I'm sure its prime quality stuff. You'll probably have the vultures shooting private messages your way. Be careful with that, the powers that be on this sites have eyes anywhere they want and I'd hate to see you get off to a bad start on account of others' greed. You can't list a classified in the local paper for a single Sunday for what a one year subscription here costs. And the point is, we wouldn't have this place to grab a few parts or grab a few bucks with money to keep the wheels rollin'.

Do you go to Reading for that big town cruise they have?

When I became a subscribing member a few months ago I sold a steering wheel within an hour for $125. You get your money back almost instantly if you have some decent parts.

Yeah don't go to the scrap yard. Right now the local yard is paying $0.96 per pound. I wanted the drivetrain out from under a suburban so I unbolted everything and went to the scrapper. They picked the burb off the chassis and it weighed 1860 lbs. I received 1800 pennies. Yep, $18.00. Good thing I didn't care just wanted it off the chassis so I could get the chassis off my trailer.

They're paying $.96 per hundred pounds. If it was $.96 a pound I'd be scrapping anything I could find! Heck I'd buy every $1000 car I could find LOL.

$1785.60 is what that math works out to! Tell that yard I'm bringing them about 25 tons...
