No way to tell. Pull the valve covers and get the numbers off the heads to help you better. Or get the numbers off the pad behind the alternator.

Yes there is a way to tell. There is a number underneath the passenger side cylinder head on the flat piece on the block where the water pump attaches. There should be some numbers and a few letters at the end. Those letters are the engine suffix which you can use along with the engine year to research online which engine it is.

http://www.nastyz28.com/chevy-engine-code-stampings.php

About two thirds of the way down the page is an index for engine suffixes. If you can find your engine suffix, that will tell you what it is.

The heads are off of a 350. The 305's had a saddle marking on the ends of the heads. Those look like #624 casting 350 heads. Those are the lighter casting heads. The little triangle shape on the end of the heads tells me that. This is from my memory banks although somewhat depleted over the years, it could be an #882 casting(earlier pre '78) but definitely 350 heads. With the dish in the top of the 305 pistons those heads on a 305 engine would make a fairly low compression engine, I would bet it is a 350

It is probably dated between 1978 and 1986

882s have a light and heavy casting. I got a set of heavy castings rusting in my truck bed.

I can't see the dipstick but that would be a indicator of the year range too.

"14010207" casting # shows as 80-85 350 truck.

Yeah heavy metal you are right about 882's but nothing compared to the #624's. these heads were let's say extremely light comparatively, seems like 90% of which cracked in the center 2 combustion chamber exhaust seats. The 305 heads #450 2 bbl., #416 4 bbl, and small chamber #301 all had the same cracking problem. Anyway, sometimes a chevy motor can be identified (reasonably) by knowing the casting markings on the ends of the heads.
