When I started working on my truck 10 years ago I bought a bunch of stuff from LMC, there is stuff I replaced that has failed again like the sending unit, is there some one that sells good quality stuff? Replacing factory parts that lasted 160k miles with new ones that don't make it 40 is getting old.

Im currently in need of
Sending unit
Heater control
Headlight adjustment screw
Antenna
Other misc. stuff

I get all my new parts from RockAuto.com. RockAuto carries a wider variety of brands than Advance Auto, AutoZone, or any place like that plus they're cheaper. I'm pretty certain they're cheaper than LMC too. If you can find a good junkyard they can help out with odds and ends that aren't made anymore.

Thanks hippie. Do any of you guys use classic truck parts? Their prices seem really reasonable to me. I just don't want to be replacing parts for the third time in another few years.

My last order was with Wes at Classic Heartbeat. He restores these trucks, so he uses what he sells. He frequently brings new restoration parts to market. And he is the one that has answered the phone when I called.

My repros. have come from Manes and Classic Heartbeat. My only complaint so far is the license plate frame. I'll need to smooth some areas out and repaint. It's heavy as heck though, and the bolt holes line-up. VERY nice battery box from Manes. Both places are great to deal with, knowledgeable and polite.

Personally, I'd only buy LMC as a last resort. Their best quality may be their part references.

I second the use of board vendors. They typically only sell quality stuff that they would use themselves.
That being said. If by "Four Corners" you are in the Southwest area. Tuckers Classic Parts is in Las Vegas. They could get parts shipped to you rather quickly. I have used them and had no issues.

I've ordered tons of stuff from classic parts. Never an issue.
