Re: Epic Vancouver road trip!!

Interesting story from today..
David and I were cruising along and went by a couple lads walking on the shoulder, one of them carrying a jerry can of fuel. I circled back and we picked them up. It was a tight squeeze to get all 4 of us in, but they said their car was just a 15 minutes down the road. Anyways, sure enough we met the RCMP and she nailed the brakes and pulled us over . Obviously we had a seat belt problem...but I was very respectful and waited until she asked me to explain. At first she said that instead of giving me a ticket, she'd take one of the guys in her car. But I think she didnt feel like driving all the way back....so she thought hard for a minute, gave us a wave and said "carry on guys..."

I'm thankful

Re: Epic Vancouver road trip!!

Good place to take a pic!!
How'd you like the drive from the Cathedral Cove over the 'Hump' to Alberni? Bet that climb made the old truck gasp for air!!
You've had some great weather though!!
Where to next?
Down Island or back to Lotus Land?

Re: Epic Vancouver road trip!!

Hey! Sorry guys we had to hustle a bit more the last couple days and I just didnt make time to keep you all updated!

Just got home to Lloyd actually. We had no breakdowns at all . Just took about a quart of oil and some coolant (it blows a bit out the overflow hose). I'm frankly kind of in awe that we drove 4000 km without a problem. Good ol' Chevy! God was watching out for us I guess.

I'm just uploading a few photos to photobucket and then I'll post them. I think I left off at Tofino right?

Cheers,
Colin

Re: Epic Vancouver road trip!!

Thanks for the update Colin and I'm glad you had a great trip and are home safe and sound. You and your brother are young men and will remember this adventure for the rest of your days. Remember, Life is a Journey, not a Destination....
