Intro and question

Hello all, just joined the forum after purchasing my 2nd K5. Recently bought an 86 K5 after owning an 87 about 5 years ago. Anyways, my question is...the other day driving home my dash lights started flickering and eventually cut off. I turned the dimmer all the way to the brightest and they would stay on if I held it until finally they just cut out completely. I also noticed that the running lights quit working as well. So now I have headlights and brake lights and that is all. Will replacing the headlight switch fix the problem or could there be faulty wiring elsewhere. Electrical is my biggest downfall, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Intro and question

Check the grounds in the tail light housing. They can get a little worn as they age....

Would those grounds affect the dash lights at all?
