Looks like a cobbled car mount. The double crossmember stock one is a ton stronger.

I agree, I should be getting the trans down to the rebuilder this week. I don't feel anything wrong with the NP205 transfer case, but I am not sure if I should Just redo all gaskets or should I have it rebuilt while out.

Not a lot to go wrong inside a 205. If the bearings feel fine and doesn't leak I'd leave it alone. Clean it good of course while its out. Replace fluids. How long since it has been moved since the truck was Running. If it was fine then it should be fine now. But if you are just rebuilding everything just because then you know it's been done that's your call. I like to not spend extra money that doesn't really need spent myself. How many miles on the odometer and are they real
Miles? One can never know. You can pull the side inspection plate to see how it looks inside without actually tearing it apart.

trany is at my builder, he will check everything out and if needed it will get a complete rebuild.
He also said to bring in the NP205 and he will pull side and inspect..
The rear seal is leaking so he will replace all output seals.

to some it looks like I'm moving quickly but I can't do but just a little at a time. Its amazing what you can do with a floor jack and an engine lift.

Well.. Thanks to the help from a member here, I have my OEM engine cross-member installed.
The Turbo350 Trans and NP205 transfer case are out to the rebuilder and should be done next week.

Just one thing at a time, It makes it easier to see the project getting done.

The Motor is out of the Donor and getting ready for the Blazer. The block is 3956681 casting the suffix stamp is for 1969 pickup 255hp 4 bolt main.

I opened the motor to install new gaskets and I was happy to find that the engine looks as though it was just built. Really clean.

The new intake, oil pan, valve cover gaskets will go on then next week the drivetrain can start to go back in.

Looks pretty fresh. Would know for sure if you mic the cylinders. Check the top of the Pistons for size stamp. Then you know if it's been bored out and how much.

Got the NP205 transfer case and the Turbo 350 trans back from rebuilder, Trans has been rebuilt with B&M shift kit and new torque converter. And the 205 has been gone through and all new gaskets and seals. $750 for all.

I think that was fair.

It just takes time, and sometimes it takes a long time.

The motor is almost ready to go back in the driveline. I hope to have the roller ready to go back under in a few weeks.

Could we get some photos of the passenger side AC mounting for the compressor, I would like to know how the compressor mounts and setup.

I am making slow progress but I am getting things done like I want..

I have started getting things back together and it feels good to be doing it. I have started getting the core support and front assembly done.

I can't find the rear AC mount but that I might be able to find out from you guys what part is needed. I have mocked up the AC system to make sure I have all parts before I get truck together.

The Color is Going to be the Burnt Orange that it was originally, with an added white center on the sides.

Still moving along on the Blazer, I am getting the new gas tank ready to install. I will sweat off the old filler neck and take it and the new tank to the radiator shop and have it installed on the new tank.

The new exhaust system is going on but I now need to find a set of stock ram horns center dump exhaust manifolds. ((If anyone out there has the set they took off when putting on headers Please let me know)).

I took some scrap metal that I had from the trucks to the little scrap yard in town today and while there I found something interesting sitting in an old metal bathtub that was just dropped off..... A set of 2.02 fuelie double hump heads. Casting#3782461. I bought them for scrap price, $10 bucks each. I will take them to a shop next week to be cocked and checked, if good they will be going on the 70010 block 0.60 over for the spare Blazer motor.

JMHO, but I wouldn t sweat the old neck off, just start the cut with a chisel then use tin snips. less chance of explosion

You got a steal on those heads. They look ready to run already. In really Good shape. Whoever scrapped them didn't know what they had. I sold my 67 impala engine complete for 300 with them on and they were only looking for the heads themselves. I had blown the engine and the heads had two burnt exhaust valves. The guy still thought it was a good deal. I still have a set on my 72 now.

Thanks Guy, I will have the heads checked and if all good on they go.

I took the new tank to the shop and he should have it done tomorrow for $40. To get the old fill tube, I filled the tank with water and put it on end, punched a hole with a claw hammer then cut out the square around the fill tube with a hand snips. water don't burn.

Just have to remember the older ones don't have a front hole for the alternator bracket so you may need the older bracket or modify in some way. Depends on what you have on now of course for brackets though.

I picked up my tank today with the old filler tube installed. It cost $40 and the guy did a great job.

I have the Body set back on the frame and will be getting little things done before I tighten down and shim to door fit the body, after that is known to be good I will have the rockers done and make sure I don't lose the door fitness.
