Dents or body lines?
This is on my 67 small window. It's hard to see in the pics but where I'm pointing there is an indent on both sides at the bottom corner of the rear window. Is that supposed to be there? It drives me nuts because they look like dents. The cab has already been painted but I'm thinking of redoing it. Thanks guys.

Re: Dents or body lines?
My guess is that they are waves where the rear glass metal was stamped out.. Before you redo the whole cab, ask around for a good PDR guy.. Paintless dent repair.. I have seen some pretty good dings look like they never happened..

Once you get the truck reassembled I don't think you'll notice the wave in those corners. The newly painted bare cab draws your eye to that spot. That paint looks plenty slick to me, I wouldn't mess with it.
I've got a black '13 GMC pickup and you can see the same thing in the panels from the stamping process. |

Re: Dents or body lines?
I think those are pressure marks from the panel stamping process. You may open a whole can of worms on trying to get them out, not to mention cutting into fresh paint can cause problem in itself.Put in the back glass and see what they look like then. I think you may find them a good bit different as the glass gets put in. Jim

hard to see, but looks perfectly symmetrical - a sure sign it's just part of the process. I wouldn't worry about it.
