Bed mount gas tank

So when i bought my 68 C10 shortbed pickup the guy i bought it from gave me a bed mount gas tank from Counterpart Automotive. Part No.69-9310, it is still brand new in its box, its just dirty from sitting there. I want to know if anyone has installed one of these on there 68 C10 shortbed pickup. Or if there is a thread here on how to do it? Or maybe even a video. Thanks.

Re: Bed mount gas tank

Surprised there is no directions in the Box , from what your box says in frame rail installation , also it says on the box 0-30 ohm fuel sending unit , 67-72 fuel sending unit is 0-90 ohm so this might not be the rite kit for your truck , but then again if the actual fuel tank dimension fits ,I am sure you can make it work

I used a 20 gallon 71-73 Mustang fuel tank and made it work this will give you a idea

Re: Bed mount gas tank

Your box may be mislabeled as on there website the description says 0-90 ohm sending unit. It also says 67-72 K5, suburban, and truck conversion so it will work but you may have to get a new sending unit if the one you have is 0-30 ohm. Mounting the tank is pretty straight forward, hard part is the fuel filler. Lots of threads on here about where and how to do that. I cut my filler out of a early 90's truck and welded it into my bedside.
