fuel tanks

My 66 burban was missing its fuel tank when I purchased it. I don't know if there is a replacement haven't seen one what is everyone else using.Thanks

The '69-'72 Blazer tank is a very close replacement for an original '63-'66 Suburban tank, minus the spare tire notch. You would have to get the 0-30 ohm sending unit so that your original gas gauge will work.

There are also a few aftermarket fuel tanks that will also work. Boyd Welding makes very nice tanks. Dave Boyd is a forum vendor and can be found in the Vendors Marketplace here on the forum.

Also a '91 Suburban tank apparently will work, but I don't know what mods are necessary. This would be nice for an EFI installation.

I used to have a metal 30 gallon tank from a 73-80 Blazer in mine. Size was very close. I never had a fuel guage that worked byt when reproduction senders for 60-66 Subs came out, I put my original 20.5 gallon tank back in.
