'69 C-10, The Closed Casket Build

I'll begin by saying that I've snuck around this forum about six months soaking up a wealth of knowledge from a lot of great write-ups. So to those who take the time to detail your experiences and learn the hard way for the rest of us to learn from, thank you.

Surprisingly, in all of the junk I've owned in my 32 years this is my first C10. As a teenager I longed to have one of these trucks but I always went with something different at the time. So last summer I had a '86 Toyota turbo 4x4 as a quick flip fixer when a kid offered me his long bed C10, a wad of cash and a bed full of parts. I figured 'why not'. The trade was completed and I muscled the no power steering, no power brake pile home. Luckily it was under the cover of darkness when I made it back, the old lady got her first look leaving for work the next morning.. (Pay no attention to the neighbor's ****stang parked next to this beauty)

It's a 250 Inline 6 and three speed column shift moved to the floor. Unfortunately, somewhere down the line the truck's original saddle color was resprayed poo brown. The saddle exterior and interior will be returning though. It's in (massive) need of some attention seeing as it was used thoroughly as a truck its whole life. I plan to let it keep this look for a little while, but repair the cancer and everything under the farm truck exterior to be updated as a good daily driver. Much more to come shortly as I look forward to sharing my misfortune...uh, project.
