Started the blending. Will need to spend some more time on getting it nice and smooth.

Nice, what are you using to take your welds down? I find sandpaper flap disc's such as these work the best.

I have used them, they are awesome. I found that I was able to get to aggressive with them and would end up taking to much off. So I have been using a regular grinding disk, a file and in this case was trying out some sand paper. Makes me be a bit more cautious I guess |

Down island for the weekend, tackling the bumpers. The front is mounted now. The back is all ready to go, just letting the paint dry. Pictures to come

Re: 1963 GMC C30 panel truck
Thank you, I like you rocker progress as well!
More on the panel. Rear bumper is all bolted up. Decided to start drilling out all the body mount carriage bolt and well... Ended up drilling out all the bolts for the strapping as well. The strapping was crusty, soo, I got them all fire wheeled and painted with enamel. Will be looking into getting some new plywood to lay down, might be tough to find some in 10 1/2' lengths hahaha Last edited by AJCK87; 03-06-2016 at 11:24 PM. |
