Re: 67 "dirty dakota" GMC

I just power washed the bed of my steel floor 67 truck yesterday and there were no drain holes in it.

Btw I might have the passenger mirror arm you're looking for. I have an extra set that I can't remember if they're the aqua or more of a green color. I'll dig through my stash and look.

Yep, i think tinted windows if you look close. Looks like the SPID sheet was the firewall in this truck. Wish it would warm up a little to go play on it some more.

Looking good Eric, just found this thread. Have you checked the seat for a build sheet yet? What factory was this truck from?

I had the seat out but didn't notice a build sheet. I will have the seat out again soon as i just ordered a new rubber floor for it.
I have another thread that would show the VIN info for the plant, but don't recall offhand. I think its buddy bucketed brother may be coming here soon.......

TMS, Your truck was built at Pontiac Assembly plant. Code P
I think the hand writing on your firewall is really cool. Check out the writing, between the brake booster and the recess.
cust Eq = Custom equipment, RPO code Z62
cust app = Custom appearance , RPO code Z61
Pontiac is the only plant, I've seen so far that sometimes wrote the RPO descriptions, instead of the RPO code for the option content, on the firewall.

Here is another 67 GMC that TMS found and passed on to another board member This one is a 4x4. Note the writing on the firewall as well. I will get the VIN plant info in a bit

Re: 67 "dirty dakota" GMC

Got to spend a little more time with her recently. Interior is coming along...
Stripped the door guts apart and cleaned/lubed everything so the glass all works now. Pass vent window was broke and all i had was soft ray replacments so the truck has all soft ray glass in it now. Also just got a decent 6 cyl tach to install. Will update more as it happens.

Re: 67 "dirty dakota" GMC

I have a 68 GMC from the Pontiac plant that looks to have the same handwriting
The grease pen marks on the cowl are:
K M 1 57 0D 506 A R Radio M20

4x4 V6 1/2 ton SWB Wideside model
Metalic blue paint
"A R" ???
"Radio" has a GM push button radio?
M20 trans RPO 4Speed

I'll post a pic soon

I put a few miles on it this summer and still tinkered on it some. Fun to drive and gets quite a few compliments.
