Good price! Pulling and disposing of one of those motorhomes is a real pain however. If you live in the country close to a dump it is easier but just disposing of all that junk is a real pain! It would make a great flatbed...and it runs! Lots of those motorhomes came with all the options...like buckets!

I got rid of one a few years ago at a dump in Phoenix. It was a funny site. They had no running forklift. Attached a long chain to one end of a solid pole and the other to the camber. The camper kept coming off in pieces. It drew a good crowd that was laughing and cheering us on. With every yank, we pulled a couple feet at a time off. It was $75.00 to dispose of that thing. That was about the most fun I've had spending $75.00

I had a chance to pick up this 68 custom camper awhile back for 300.00 , had already been converted to a flatbed and only needed a motor. It had a real solid cab but I didnt have a place to store it so I had to pass on it.

I would have loved to use mine as a motorhome. Unfortunately, the camper portion was too rotten to restore. I have had thoughts about building a new camper body, but usually I roll over and those thoughts pass...
To tell you how bad it was, I invited DaBurb to pick it over, any part of it he wanted for free (DaBurb has a SWEET C30 motorhome!). DaBurb left empty handed. I think that was a first for him, at least according to his wife!

As far as the hole in the back of the cab, about the only fix is to use a donor cab as a repair piece. I have located a small-window C50 in the same wrecking yard I had take the camper off for me. I am thinking I will cut the donor cab at the door pillars in the front and under the seat at the rear, then trim off what I dont need and start welding. On mine, the roof was cut through, so I will use the entire donor roof (with the cab lights I like) and all the way down to the rear window plus some extra below the rear window. The real shame of it is that the origninal camper cab is about the most rust free thing I have seen in MN! If it were not for that, I would never even think about fixing the cab.

I have been waiting for Joesjunk to jump in here, I know his beautiful restored 68 C30 started life as a motorhome.

Also of note: the camper being advertised looks like about a 180" wheelbase to me, must have been lengthened at the motorhome factory. The longest factory chassis was 157" on the C30.

I just love the look of those dually flatbeds..These trucks are addictive,,,keep my fingers crossed and I will keep looking for a good deal on a one ton dually for my next project...........

Here is one that sold at an auction here in town,wish I could have been there,but I had to be out of town the same day would have loved to look at it closer,but it was inside the fence,it looked like a real nice truck,I take it the top of the camper was leaking,from the tarp on the top,but it had not been on the road since 1980, that is when the lisence tag was last registered

here is a 69/70 for sale by my house, i took this "driveby" photo last summer and I never did go back to look at it, either. But then again I'd have no place for a motorhome.

Ok, I will jump in. My 68 was a camper when I got it. 52K original miles, but the camper was not that good. I gave it away and the guy removed it for me. My cab was just cut below the window, so fixing it was not to bad. Here are some pics, but not real good ones.

Started life as a flatbed delivered new and owner built his own camper on it. I got it a 63,000 miles and could not bring myself to part it out. oldiron restored to one of the nicest '68 C30 flatbeds ever. The interior looks like it just came off the showroom floor.

Here is my 71 c30 camper. The wheelbase was stretched 24" to make it 181" long instead of the factory 157. The thing is awesome. Moves like a race car and gets 10mpg no matter how you drive it. Same engine/tranny combo, 402 big block and turbo 400 auto. I don't have cab A/C though.
