67 vs 69 fenders

besides the marker light are they different? I would assume they are because I was told the 67-68 trim would not fit a 69-72, not saying this individual is wrong but I thought I would ask the experts on this board.

Yes, the shape at the front of the fender where it meets up with the grille is different for 67-68 vs. 69-72.
