I assume this mounts to the block some where. Where and what does it hold?

I do appreciate any and all help and advice on this build. There isn't exactly many people anywhere around with these kind of trucks that I can just go look at for ideas and examples.

Lay a tape measure alongside the parts to help us determine scale. For the first rod, I'll go with carb linkage if the diameter is ~1/4".
Red primer is the bracket for the washer fluid bottle
Heavy bracket looks like the mount for the PS pump
The last part screws to the underside of the dash to clamp a grommet around the steering column

Red (maroon) bracket is for you window washer jug. I've always called the spring the clutch return spring.

Pic I've attached looks like the cover that goes underneath the steering column to the bottom of the dash.

1st pic is a retainer for the clutch arm spring. #16 in Post #29.

Pic in post #35 looks like the bushings under a bell housing when there is a cross member under the bell housing just below the fire wall.

Pic in post #30 is the clutch rod that goes through the fire wall and hooks to the Z bar as some people call it. That is bolted to the frame and the engine or bell housing.

The rod in post #31 could be the one going to the clutch arm, but I doubt it. That looks like a shifter rod to an automatic shift on the column rod. I have a 72 Longhorn I can take some pictures of for you. It is a complete still together 402 4 speed Longhorn.

If it isn't too much of a burden to take some pics. Or if you got some on your page you want me to check out. Just trying to get it right. Probably sweating the small details to much.

Pic. no 31 looks more like a throttle rod. To thin to be a clutch rod. Notice the swivel end? Throttle rod.

Just let me know what areas you would like pictures of, and I'll go over and get some. I'll probably be taking it apart within the next month it looks like.

Re: Amateur 1970 C20 Longhorn Build

Pic in 33 looks like a Power steering bracket, I think the bracket below may be part of it too. i think the mount is for the rear of the tranny.

I agree you really need to place a tape measure across these pic's.

Re: Amateur 1970 C20 Longhorn Build

Dieselwrencher, or anyone, I wouldn't mind seeing some pics all around the engine. Sounds kinda dumb I know but I'm just having trouble finding good pics and I haven't messed with too many caburated v8 engines. Some areas I'm having trouble seeing in pics would be where the ""stove?" Heat tube hooks into, where the vacuum lines go, just all around pics of the engine. My books don't show the details of that or I'm just looking to hard and not seeing what's in front of me. Due to lack of knowledge on the subject I suppose. I also posted that back I still don't know the name of above this post with a tape.

As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone for the support.
