70 c10 and coilovers

HellO everyone, newbie here! I've always been into the square body trucks, but I've just picked up a 70 c10 a couple of months ago. I have a question on the rear trailing arms on these trucks, was thinking of removing the rear coil springs and go with a true coilover set up. Does anyone know if a true coilover shock will work in the factory location? Not looking to race the truck, just want to get a ride height that I'm wanting. Any help would be very appreciative. Thanks again, Orange70c10!

Re: 70 c10 and coilovers

you'll have better luck posting this in the suspension section to get an answer about the coilovers. however you can achieve pretty much whatever ride height you want with lowering springs and blocks.

Re: 70 c10 and coilovers

Thank you for the advice, was looking around today on the Web and found a kit from Ridetech. Complete coilover kit, front and rear. She is gonna have a total frame off restoration with a few modern updates. Body and interior will remain factory, but suspension and drivetrain, that's a whole other story! Need to collect some specialty tools and the tear down will begin soon! Can't wait. Thanks, for yall's advance and your truck is killer!
