Unisteer R&P

Considering installing the unisteer bolt in rack in my 72 small block. Hoping for some feedback from those of you who may have some experience with this. Thanks in advance

My understanding is they have a kit with no pump, Its been a while so I don't remember exactly what's included in the no pump kit but I think its rack and hardware with no pump, pulley or hoses, You would need to call them for the part number or have your vendor call them.

Call and ask for Todd. I think his extension is 244

Mine will be here next week. Just the rack etc not the pump, hoses etc

Re: Unisteer R&P

They do sell it without pump and pump bracket. Be glad to help you in getting it. We ordered it this way for my buddy's truck running an LS.

Re: Unisteer R&P

I just put one in my 71 GMC, no motor yet. I got the kit with the pump. Came with all the hosed needed and the fluid remote reservoir. Nice R&P bolted right in so far very happy with it. instructions dealing with the steering support bracket have me a little stumped. They may have changed the bracket but not the pic in the booklet.

Re: Unisteer R&P

Got the kit from Summit. Had a problem with a mismarked container and got a Camaro kit for my '69 C10. Didn't fit and the turn around took 2 months. That's my only complaint. Had to replace one of the stainless universals as something didn't match my particular set-up. Follow the instructions and it goes right in. Quality is exceptional. Looks and works great!

Re: Unisteer R&P

Has anyone installed the kit on a truck with an air ride suspension?

Re: Unisteer R&P

I'm on bags. No problems. The turn radius is wider than stock so I cut the steering stops off cuz ya never get close to em. Actually has very little toe-in when pancaked.

Is the unisteer unit lower than the bottom of a pancaked crossmember? Have any pic of it installed with said crossmember?
