notch question

quick back ground. 65 c10, dropping this thing down as far as i can go with a static drop.

Front crossmember has been pancaked 1.5 inches, 2.5 drop sprindles, moved forward 1", LCA moved forward .75 inches, and added a t-bird Rack and Pinion.

I setting up the rear now. the rockers are about 6-7 inches off the ground and level. I'm putting in a 9C1 Rear with its triangulated 4 link and addind coilovers. i need a notch before i can set up the trailing arms.

I don't think i can use a standard bolt in c-notch since it won't have enough travel. I was going to buy a 8" notch weld in kit (for laying frame). the question i have is, can i just not install it a full height and have a 6" notch? i'm just trying to keep the hump in the bed a small as i can since i don't really want to bag it.

Also, aside from the PBfab 300-600 notch kits out there, what else is a good option?

Thanks!

Re: notch question

i was more concerned since i was lowering the notch on frame it would mount in a more narrow location apart from each other on the frame rail. there is a bend in the frame (inward), i wasn't sure how much straight section was available (on each side of the notch). To make the notch less tall, will would also make it less wide.

Re: notch question

Yes, you can cut the notches down. Check out CAchassisworks or thorbros for a good/cheaper 63-72 notch.

Re: notch question

Thanks Gringoloco for the helpful response.

I ordered one up from thorbros this morning, so I am happy to hear they were recommended.
