anyone running a PTO winch?
since I am swapping in a NP205 transfer case, I was wondering if anyone has a PTO running a winch. I just saw this on ebay and it piqued my interest. also, how do you route the driveshaft? thanks

I've seen a few and they're cool from a novelty standpoint, but I wouldn't want one. You could run a hyd pump off of it and solve the driveshaft problems with a hydraulic winch. You can't get around the problem of it being driven off of the transmission output though, so you can't help yourself with wheel power when using the winch. That is the deal breaker for me, that, and pto winches are painfully slow. Would be cool for a flatbed winch, though.

Anyway, I would consider getting one just to have in case of emergencies. I don't do any rockcrawling because the only rocks in Ohio are the gravel bits in my driveway. Plus it looks like you could put one together for not that much money, which is something that I like.
