I have a one inch trim ring that fits on the 15 inch full hub caps so the hub cap could go on the optional 16 inch 1/2 ton rims.... only have one and never seen another. Must be rare.

Some help for the new kid. My brother Had a 67 not to long before I got mine. It had a 400sb it was listed on the sticker in the glove box, It was the only option listed. Is the from the factory or a repro sticke it did look pretty old. Also by speed warning ight do you meanthe litte red one on the top of the speedo/ When I bought the truck AI found another visor behind the seat but there is no hole for it on the passenger side and the driver side is still up. Can anyone enlighten me on this? Correct me if I'm wrong but is the shoulder belt rare on the 67 C10? If so I got em well used to they were cut off.

400 small block was never used in 67 - 72 trucks...it was never even built untill 70. So your sticker was bogus. The 402 big block (badged as a 400 on trucks) was not made untill 70, and even so, there were no big block trucks made in 67.
Speed warning has a small adjustable extra needle on the speedo, a knob on the inst panel, and a buzzer behind the dash. When you hit the predetermined speed, a very annoying buzzer is supposed to go off.
Your spare visor was probably purchased to be installed, and never done. Interesting that there was no hole, I thought they came with the hole, but had a block off plate.
Shoulder seat belts are rare on any 67 - 72.

This '68 2WD 'Burb I'm parting out came from the factory with 17.5x7 wheels.
They are listed on the build sheet as:
*R82 F7x175x6 N and
*R82 R7x175x6 N
The old farmer I got it from told me he ordered it with them so it would have the same size wheels and tires as his farm trucks. It has a choke delete also. Funny thing is, the P/O added an after-market choke and mounted it under the dash, one tiny bolt hole in an otherwise perfect dash. At least it's where you can't see it.

A couple of yaers ago i was helping a freind haul a truck from outside of el dorado back to mt hope and their is an antique shop outside el dorado about 6 miles it had a sierra grande and a super cheyenne out front both for sale so i naturally just stopped in on the way back. Both of them were loaded with every option you could imagine. Power windows and locks, cruise, buckets, cab lights, spotlights, bumper gaurds, tool boxes, and the weirdest option i'd ever seen a vinel top on the super. I called the number on the door of the antique shop cause i thought I might get lucky and the barret jackson bug might not have hit the owner (man was I wrong). I asked about the sierra first he told me he had bought them from the same guy who used to own Quality Chevy in wichita, he'd got the gmc from the owner of Ely's gmc on west street in wichita, anyway i asked for a dollar amount and he priced the gmc at $9600 and this thing had more holes than a ton of swiss cheese! I asked about the super which was about normal for original paint and he priced it at $11,500. He wasn't around to open them up so i could take pics of the option sheets and at that price back then i completely lost any interest.

I also have a friend who has a custom paint option on his dads truck (bought new) white cab top and white paint from where the lower molding would be down (no molding) and the same factory dark green they put on chevelles that one i can get pics of to post

croatoan, those sound like well optioned trucks. Power windows and locks didn't come on these trucks however. The vinyl tops were out there, but not many. Do you remember if they were 1/2 tons? Shortbeds? 4x4? Too bad you didn't have pics to share.

The cargo light came out in mid 69 and used through 72 and came on cheyenne/sierra trucks. So not super rare.

What about stainless steel roof drip moulding? I found a set on a cheyenne at the junkyard that I have on my truck now. It was riveted on, but appeared to be original to the year. Glovebox was gone so I cannot verify if it was a factory or dealer added item?

A lot of these things are GM accessories,not options from the factory. Some options were also available as accessories,like door edge guards for instance. Another common accessory was vent shade,which were not factory options. The vinyl top and drip rail trim were both available through the dealer but not options.

My 67 C10 had a visor on the drivers side, but nothing on the passenger side. I drilled the holes in the roof panel and added another visor to it.

It was a super low option truck. If I remember correctly it had like 3 options on the SPID. I know 67-68's were usually lower optioned than the later ones, but this one was exceptionally plain.

Mine has the manual throttle also. Truck was ordered by a farmer as a plow truck for his long driveway. He drove it away from the dealer in the fall of '69 with a plow on it, after he traded in his '64 Jeep. I imagine the blade was installed at the dealer, but the manual throttle has a knob and hole/bezel in the dash that appears to be very factory. There are also brackets welded to the frame that the plow was mounted to do that do not look like add-ons although they probably are. I also have double grooved pulleys, as a secondary belt ran to the plow to power it.

How about J76 prop shaft parking brake on a 1/2 ton? Seems like this isn't supposed to exist according to gm documentation; only on C30 w/11,000 lb axle and bigger trucks.

Probably a 1-off, but not desirable.
