Re: Clutch Question

half hour job on a lift. did a zillion at the dealership back in the day. why anyone would choose to work harder, by removing unnecessary parts, makes no sense - on any job

Pressure plate Area ?

Can't seem to Pin Point it .. but when I let the Clutch out in Neutral it seems to stop
most times .. just upon start up for like 20 Seconds then goes away - had two other guys look at it there all Scratching Heads . .

Guess I may need to Buy an Owner's Mechanic's Tech . Manual . .

are you sure that you are in the right forum. shouldn;t this been in the 47-59 section.there is not much in the clutch that can make a rubbing noise unless tou have a bearing in where the pilot bearing usually goes in those tears. throw out bearing can cause noise. how much free play do you have in your clutch pedal?
the other scenario is the input shaft bearing in the trans.drain the gear oil out and see what cuttings come out. the load is off it when it is in nuetral. if you are sitting there with the clutch in does it still make the noise. does the clutch itself work properly
