You may have already considered one of these, but if not it might be worth taking a look at (this is just an example; there are other brands):
https://www.amazon.com/Monster-MBL-A...ssette+adapter It's a cable, not wireless connection to your iPod, which may be inconvenient. OTOH, it's cheaper and requires no new wiring.
