Aftermarket Gates
All the topics I see are old. So I am checking in on latest experiences with aftermarket fleetside tailgates. Who has gotten one that lined up and seemed like a quality part and where did you get it from? What brand was it. I wish Mar-K would make one......

Re: Aftermarket Gates
I bought a Tri-Plus aftermarket tail gate. Overall, I am fairly pleased with it. The construction is good, the quality/thickness/weight of the sheetmetal appears to be at least as good as my original.
My only complaint with it is the same as I have with most aftermarket panels. The attention to detail is missing. The profile of the top part of the tail gate is imperfect, and if you look close you can tell. Other than this, it's a very nice aftermarket part, and better than nothing, and better than trying to repair a totally rotted out original.
