The things I'll do for "The Truck"

So, today I'm just watching the race, minding my own business, when the weather lady breaks in and report a storm with "Quarter to Glofball sized hail", is about five miles away. So what do I do? Cover as much of the truck as I can.
I already lost one windshield to hail a long time ago, and it's not happening again.
I'll be glad to get my shop done so I can keep her inside

I wouldn't worry about the hail if my truck were on it's side like that, I would be worried about the tornado!

Luckily the worst of it missed us, but just to the SW of us got the bigger hail an 2 inches of rain, and fortunately no twisters

I got caught in hail once, it wasn't pretty. And I should have known something bad was coming that day as I had seen the report on the Weather Channel.

Lightning so fierce it looked like a strobe light! Hail so heavy it was light a whiteout blizzard. Over 60 dents in my Honda Civic. Thousands of cars damaged in town.

When I got my Haulmark enclosed car trailer I vowed I was not going to let it get dinged up and banged up.

First trip was to Alabama....or "Hailabama" as it is now known.

We were at the race track and got the report of hail coming. I was able to get the car in the trailer and we loaded up in the Suburban and took off. Just about the time the hail hit I saw a farmer's market with covered parking so we ducked in there and rode it out.

The race car was spared, and the Suburban was unharmed, but - the trailer took a pretty good beating on one side and on the ramp gate.
