Electronic Speedo Conversion Kits!!

Below is a thread I just started in the LSX classifieds section. I am posting here for more visibility. If anyone wants one of these great kits, please reply to my thread in the LSX classifieds section. Thanks.

Electronic Speedo Conversion Kits... who wants one!!???
So I have been talking to Captainfab about doing another run of these quality kits that allows you to adapt the s10 speedo to use in our trucks. This is an economical solution for those that want a stock looking cluster after doing a LS swap. This kit, when used in conjunction with the kit offered by LS1Nova71, make it easy to convert to an electronic speedo but still keep the stock appearance of the original 67-72 clusters. In order to make another production run, he needs interest from more people than just me. If you were one of the ones that missed out on the last batch, now is your chance to get another run going. All you need to do is reply to this thread to let John know you are interested in one of these kits.

C'mon, who's with me?!!

Re: Electronic Speedo Conversion Kits!!

I should mention that neither Captainfab or LS1Nova71 has solicited me to post this nor am I affiliated with them in any way. In fact, I asked Captainfab if I could start a post to check interest in his product because I really want one but he needs more orders than just mine to start a run.

Would this work for the getrag 5 speed I used with my Cummins swap?

Hmmm, you're right. It worked before. Try one of these.. if it don't work, copy and paste.

Not sure what you are talking about here. This allows you to use an electronic speedometer in place of the cable driven one we currently have. When you do the LS swap, you lose the ability to use the original speedo unless you buy an expensive adapter kit. I'm told those don't work that well either.

Re: Electronic Speedo Conversion Kits!!

Got your PM. . Unfortunately I cant help your order numbers as I have already got a kit from them a while ago and completed the conversion. . I will reinforce that it is a great set up. The template for the gauge from LS1Nova worked really well and the box/mount from CaptainFab worked awesome as well. My speedo is within 1 MPH of my ScanGaugeII and looks factory. If youre doing an LS swap or need an electric speedo I recommend these gentleman's products. worked excellent!

Wow! what an amazing transformation! Looks great Devil Pup. What paint did you use for the numbers? It's a good match. Thanks.

thank you. I used testers model paint from Hobby lobby. just green and white as suggested in that thread. took a bit of time to get the right color but wasn't too bad.

Cool. What did you use to spray it, an airbrush?

Yes I used an air brush and just reduced the paints down a bit.
