Re: 72 Cheyenne Super Plain Jane

Looking good! I really need to pull the engine on mine and do a full underhood detail as well but have just been too lazy. As of now, I'm going with the "all original" look .

Is that with the new 6" springs? I'm guessing it has to settle some but it does look a touch lower. I plan on picking up the 5 inchers from your dad tomorrow and throwing them in.

Thanks Brotha, no that is with the old 5" springs. I actually just got the 6s put on the other night but the height is the same. I called the company and they said to drive it and it should settle. If not they will send me another set. I can't wait to see the 5s on your truck, they are probably closer to 6s now that they've been used haha.

My plan under the hood is to do the N2Billet mod on the heater box, build a box to cover the wiring harness junction on the drives side of the firewall, hide as many wires as I can, powdercoat what I can, and paint the radiator, rad cover, battery box, etc with the hot rod black paint. I also plan to change out my air cleaner for a factory 67-72 air cleaner and paint it the same black. It should tidy up a lot aesthetically and hopefully look a little more "factory" haha
