Drop shackle position too high

Hi everyone, back with another question. For those of you who have used the 4" drop leaf spring from ECE along with their 1.5" drop shackle, just wondering where the top of the shackle ended up sitting. Right now it looks like I will be clearancing the rear cross sill (not unusual from what I gather), but also notching the wood planks by about 1/2" for clearance. Has anyone else had to do this? Would rather not do this obviously.

In this photo, I have used the 3rd cross sill lengthwise to demonstrate how the boards will sit relative to the shackle.

This is a 71 c10 long bed to short bed conversion.

Thanks.
