Haha thanks! I just tried photoshop for the first time the other other day. I couldn't believe how good it turned out, and the forum even actually lowers the quality of photos when you upload. Cracks me up every time I see it

Gave her a wax today. It turned out pretty well. The reflective properties are there, but it’s not too shiny.

Got a box of goodies from LMC yesterday. Put on the base model side markers, went ahead and wired them up even though it’s not original, can’t be to visible these days. I just used scotchloks and grounded them on the screw clips so no damage done. Put in new dash vents, and replaced the air control lever that broke. And started cleaning up to put in the new rubber floor mat, hoping to get it in tomorrow.

Looks good, and you're right about the improved visibility. It doesn't detract from the truck that's for sure.
I don't know if stupid has been multiplying faster than common sense, or that people just don't care anymore, but I swear that drivers are getting worse.

Damn that is a cool truck! The more of these I see, the more I like an original, slightly hot rodded look. All the bling and shiny is nice sometimes, but nothing beats that original paint, the rallies and the patina...

Thanks a lot man. It really is my favorite look, it can always be painted and fancied up later if something happens, but it’s only original once. And plus not having to worry about scratches and dings is awesome. Everybody else is like “Oh my gosh a rock chip!!” And I’m like “Eh...that’s just aftermarket character.” Haha

Got the rubber floor mat in yesterday. It is pretty nice, man was it nerve racking cutting a hole in a new mat for the shifter though.
I also replaced the hood shock insulation or whatever you call it, man it’s so much quieter when you shut the hood and hit bumps now. I replaced my broken dash vents, and replaced the air control lever that broke. And finally I swapped out the plastic rear view mirror for a old school looking chrome one. Some pictures before and after the new mat. I left the super thin old mat undereath as a little extra insulation. And one pic of the new mirror.

Got my shift knob from The Boneyard Sculpts a couple days ago. I wanted something rat fink style but not over the top and still reasonably comfortable. This knob fit the bill perfectly, and was almost the exact color of my truck too. This guy makes awesome shift knobs and mini sculptures. You guys should check his stuff out. He also does custom orders. He has a big cartel and he is also on Etsy. Here’s a link to his shop:
