Re: It’s a hot one today...
Brutal....we’ve been experiencing “feels like” temps of 105 degrees with the humidity and that will drain you fast. 115 has to be really bad. Dangerous.

Re: It’s a hot one today...
I was at the Angeles Shooting Range (east end of the San Fernando Valley). People were actually passing out from the heat at the range. It was 119° on the way home. It's only 114° at my house. I'm sitting in air conditioned comfort at 78°. That's 36° cooler than outside! I'm going to finish the block wall some other day. I'm too old to take this heat.

Re: It’s a hot one today...
I feel bad for you guys, I really do. I hate the heat. We're gonna start heating up over the next several days but right now I'm enjoying 87 degrees.
And not to rub it in, our nights have been in the low fifties.

Re: It’s a hot one today...
Ya, it's hot. I don't mind it. I just worry about the 15-25mph winds with 40mph gusts. It's just too hot for anyone to don that fire fighting gear out here right now. Keeping fingers crossed! It's about 115 where I'm at.

Re: It’s a hot one today...
Yeah it's real hot out there but as they say "it's a dry heat" so it's not as bad as it sounds. Humidity or not, 100+ is just hot, ain't no way around it.
I saw on the news today some place in south Africa set a new record high temp of 124*! Now that's brutal for ya.

Re: It’s a hot one today...
Tuesday it got to 99 here(happens in 5 year intervals). But the dew point was 75. The made a heat index of 113. That's crazy for PA.

Re: It’s a hot one today...
I saw 104 at work today, down in the Valley of the Great Salt Lake. I live about 1500' higher up, though, and it was only 90 or so at the house.
Like everywhere else in the West Utah is on fire, but today is the first time it was really smokey where I live. I think it will get worse before it gets better

Re: It’s a hot one today...
At 2 this afternoon it was 98, then a front came through and dropped to 84 in a few minutes, then back to the mid nineties, then back down to 74 about 5 PM.

Re: It’s a hot one today...
We saw 112 down in my area or San Diego Co. And, to top it off, there are several fires going on. I really hate SoCal.

Re: It’s a hot one today...
Isn't this much heat and humidity illegal? It has to be. Thats just not right.

Re: It’s a hot one today...
Felt like 105 here yesterday. Today's high is supposed to only be 77 then back up in the 90's. I will take today every day.

Re: It’s a hot one today...
Wish it ws that low here, you can almost swim in the air here in Tenn. I was out west on a road trip few years ago ,we stopped one day in Tucumcari, NM it was 100+. I was comfortable, got a chill that afternoon when I got out of the pool. Got back home it was in the 80's with our humidity and I was sweating my butt off miserable.

Re: It’s a hot one today...
Humidity sucks, but at least when there is some in the air, the chances of fires is much less. CA has quite a few fires going on right now and I wish is wasn't so dry. It would certainly help the firemen.

Re: It’s a hot one today...
Would gladly send some of our humidity. It is down to 63% today. Thats what makes it most miserable trying to work outside.

Re: It’s a hot one today...
Right, we hardly ever have a fire threat, I feel for those in that area and the ones battling it. Tornados is our enemy.

So nice to wake up to 60 degrees this morning. It was flannel shirt weather but I enjoyed being a tad chilly in a t-shirt. I know it won't last, but today is very pleasant with low for us humidity. It was like the jungle before that
