Wooden bedside gates. Pics?

Who's got some wooden gates on their bed rails using the stake pockets? Let's see some pics. I'm wanting to make some for my future move. I want to put as many boxes in the bed as I can. Fewer trips is good. Stacked high... Thanks ya'll.

Not mine. Fellow member's who seldom posts. It's for livestock, but still gives good idea how to do it. You could just use glad-hands to lift off or hinge the gate. I think glad-hands will be strongest.

EDIT: I guess this isn't the simplest way to go. Looks like it has been modified a time or two. But you get the idea

Re: Wooden bedside gates. Pics?

I want to make a nice set for shows. I'm thinking red paint with pinstripe like Omaha Standard or Obeco bodies. I have a set of '72 Farm Truck tags registered to the truck.

Re: Wooden bedside gates. Pics?

The PO had them on my truck but I'm having trouble posting the pictures.

Re: Wooden bedside gates. Pics?

Side boards are real easy to make. I used 2x4 studs and wood screws to build these. Cost was less then 20 bucks. You can go higher and add more horizontal boards very easily. You can use two or three ratchet straps as a rear gate.

What are glad-hands? When I google it, it seems to be related to brake hose coupling for truck semi trailers.
