Re: SPID Picture thread?

Heres one I just bought, It's a 1972 swb fleetside. I also have the original bill of sale, it was 2600 new in 1972. No options at all...

Re: SPID Picture thread?

Now THIS is a unicorn! This truck ('68 K20) is on the craigslist for sale thread. 327 three speed on the column (?!) positraction FRONT axle (?!)

Was it possible to order bucket seats without the CST package?

Re: SPID Picture thread?

kind of a SPID / build sheet question and haven't seen a build sheet thread

posting this here as well to see if anyone knows about the wheel/tire size called out on this build sheet..

thanks to Mrs. Bee, managed to get enough hands in the back of the seat to remove the other build sheet in tact

this afternoon I managed to overlay them to get as complete a picture as I can without damaging them..

so first question, anyone know if the original tire size listed as 750X16X8 on build sheet were 16"?

there is no tire size listed on the SPID of this truck so not sure if there was a standard size that wouldn't be listed?

I've seen 16.5 expressed 165 in SPIDs, not sure about build sheets..

for instance, the other 71 longhorn SPID calls 950X165X8 which I assumed were 16.5"

That call out is for a 7.50 x 16, 8 ply tire

The other is a 9.50 x 16.5, 8 ply tire

thanks Joe! so they were a tall, skinny farm style tire, I like it!

but I was afraid of that since the truck came with 16.5s on it, ugly rusty ones that the flipper painted 'once over rust'

where o where could the original wheels be? swapped onto something they kept in the barn I bet

so factory 16" wheels were available in 71? do the wheel codes in block 58-59 identify size or width?

and while were at it, what hub caps were CB4 in block 70?

for that matter, is there a code break down for these blocks?

thank you for any and all help!
