Where are you going to have them stitched up?

I know where your going with that question .

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration tell us that there's no law that prevents a repair shop from fixing a broken seat belt. It IS illegal to render any piece of safety equipment inoperative . . . or take it out and throw it in the nearest dumpster. But fixing it is not against the law. Now as far as owning an upholstery shop we always refused to sew seat belts due to the liability, But as an owner you assume all the liability when you turn the key . Many race belts/ harnesses are driving down the road and they are sold as "For off road use only "

I have the correct thread and machine to sew them my self . There is a wholesale seatbelt distributor here in Knoxville to buy the webbing .

10 pieces were $125.00 including shipping . I sent them out because I have a nice seat belt center consol for that truck . For running these back roads and around town local shows they'll work, for a long trip out of town I'll drop a set of 3 point belts in it .

That's really cool, and the price doesn't seem to steep either.

Classic parts and others have the reproduction parts . I've never bought one but maybe others can attest to the quality .

Running with just lap belts will probably end up with getting pulled over by a millennial age cop who isn't aware of the years lap belts were legal .

Re: Back from the chrome shop

Loaded question but I’m wanting to know the difference and value a trim shop can offer over something like tmi? I’m starting from scratch and would like to convert from bench to bucket. That’s why I asked u grumpy about console. What would I need to get a local shop to do my interior ?

That plating looks good. I will keep their information for my use if when I need to have something done.
