Thanks for all the info guys. Like I said, my wife and I probably won't lesson to the radio I just want a functioning unit and not just a radio in the dash for show. Looks like the two shafts on the radio pass through the two holes in the speaker bracket. I just barely had enough adjustment to be able to get the washers and nuts on the front of the dash to secure the radio. I'll need to work on that I guess. Just wanted to hear from someone that these speakers would fit in the original area behind the speaker grille. So much stuff out there that claim it will fit an AD and won't.

If you can't fix it with duct tape, it's an electrical problem.
